44th District Ohio State House Candidate, Kurtis Liston to have fundraiser with controversial former Congressman James Traficant in Akron.
Akron, Ohio - January 12, 2010 - The campaign for the election of Kurtis Liston for the 44th District State House Seat has announced that former Congressman James Traficant will be at a fundraiser held on Kurtis's behalf at the Tangier in Akron on Groundhog's Day, February 2, 2010. The son of a truck driver (Traficant) will be there to deliver one of his famous no holds barred speeches and to meet and greet attendees.
Kurtis is the Northeast Regional Liaison for the Libertarian Party of Ohio and has decided to run for the 44th District State House seat, which is currently held by long time incumbent Vernon Sykes. 2010 is the first year in fifty years, after a lengthy legal battle, that Ohio voters can vote for a alternative party candidate on the primary ballot.
