FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fundraiser for Kurtis Liston, Libertarian Candidate for the 44th District Seat in the Ohio House is a success.

Akron, Ohio - February 4, 2010 - Tuesday night a diverse group of allies gathered to support Kurtis Liston's bid for the 44th Ohio House Seat, and listen to the night's speakers, which included former congressman Jim Traficant, Jr.  After an introduction by Communications Director Nicholas Burdohan, Kurtis Liston gave a speech outlining who he was, his motivation, relevant facts and figures and a plan of action.  Jim took the podium around 8 o'clock and laid out his intentions to run for Congress, gave Kurtis some "101" advice on legislating, spoke of his accomplishment, and rounded out the night with stories of some of his more hilarious one minute speeches.

There has been some media coverage, including a story from WAKR and a front page story in the Beacon Journal on Thursday February 4.  The kentwired.com also published a piece on Liston which can be found at http://kentwired.com/student-seeks-seat-in-ohios-44th-district/

Kurtis is making himself available for interviews and commentary at 330.603.9026 or send an email Nicholas Burdohan, Communications Director at  contact@content.summitlp.org to arrange a meeting.

  1. I don't know if this is a way to communicate with Liston or not. But I'll try it. I received in the US mail today (12/29/2010) a Christmas greeting card from Liston. So, thank you Liston for the greeting. And thank you for informing me about the web site. As you see, I logged on and am learning more about what is going on. I am old (90), but I am still very much interested in what goes on in our country. I will keep in touch.
